Introducing our Creative Team – Gem

We are so lucky to have our fabulous Creative Team, the inner circle to all things Oops a Daisy!

Our Creative Team not only help us spread the word about Oops a Daisy on social media, they are also admin for the “Bullet Journal Squad” Facebook Community AND they run the fantastic Bullet Journal Squad Challenge!

We wanted to take a bit of time to get to know our creative team members, so we created a little survey for each of them to complete so they can tell us all about themselves!

Today we are learning more about Gem, or as she is better known on social media, @gem_plans.and.letters

A Bit About Me

I’m Gem, a huge stationery addict and Oops a Daisy follower from the very beginning! I am an Assistant Headteacher, a keen runner and reader and love going on adventures with my cocker spaniel, Lucy!

Why I Journal

I started journalling properly in January 2019 to give me some much-needed ‘me time’; this is still the reason I journal now. As a teacher, I have several never-ending lists but a BuJo gives me the creativity that I desire as well as being practical. I am very much an advocate for ‘embrace your mistakes’ and my Insta is certainly not ‘Instagram perfect’. It also helps my mental health and I run a wonderful collaboration to help raise awareness of this.

3 Fun Facts About Me

  1. I must eat cheese after eating chocolate!
  2. I own EVERY OAD subscription box!
  3. I am admin for a running group which is featured on the C25K running app – it is so supportive and motivating.

What’s In My Kit?

  • A5 journal
  • Stencils
  • Washi
  • Guaranteed to be something OAD-related every single month!
  • Patterned paper

Favourite Journal Spread

This has to be my ‘word of the day’ or a gratitude tracker page! I think it is SO important to look for the positives, however small they are. Every month, I create a page to record these positive moments. Recently, Jo used my idea and created a super easy sticker which makes creating these spreads even easier now!
