Here are 7 ideas to get you started with your weekly boxes. Remember these can be created in both A5 and B5 journals by selecting the appropriate stencil in your set!

Option 1: Week Down the Page

Simple, but oh so handy! This is the go-to layout for Jo and Kate at OAD HQ.

This can be made into a double page weekly spread by placing on the far right or far left of the page and using the remaining space for rapid logging, habit trackers, notes, or doodles!

Option 2: Week Across Two Pages

In this double page weekly, we utilise the half-size box for our weekend days. Making a balanced spread (despite their being an odd number of days in the week.

Use the daily boxes for your appointments, “Big 3” tasks, or meal planning, and the space below for notes, doodles, or habit tracking.

Option 3: Week On a Page (V1)

This spread provides spaces for your daily appointments and leaves areas clear for notes and tasks.

A variation on this would be to have all of the boxes at the top of the page, leaving a full half page for anything else you wish to add.

Option 4: Week On a Page (V2)

This version of a week on a single page uses a combination of shapes to split the weekend into smaller boxes.

It leaves space top and bottom to add decorative Washi tape to co-ordinate with your monthly theme, if you have one.

Option 5: Meal Planning

This handy spread allows you to meal plan for 6 days across a double page spread.

The top row can be used for appointments, with the rows below breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Option 6: Horizontal Dutch Door

Level up your “Option 2” layout by turning it into a dutch door.

Cut horizontally across the page, under the weekly boxes, and then stick the top pieces down onto the pages below.

This leaves the bottom pages free to be turned, creating extra space for daily notes.

Option 7: Monthly Dutch Door

Another level up, this time cutting the vertical edge from your pages.

Use the layout from “Option 1” to create a space for 4 weekly spreads inside your monthly setup.

This is a great spread to allow you to create all of your weeklies in advance!
