How to Organise Your Oops a Daisy Stencil Collection!

Whether you’ve amassed a huge collection of Oops a Daisy stencils and stickers, or just a handful, keeping them organised and easily accessible is a must!

Thankfully, we’ve developed a range of storage and organisation solutions to help you manage your collection, so you will always have the right stencil to hand when you need it.

A5 Binder & Accessories

Our A5 Binder combined with our range of accessories is all you need to store the majority of your stencil and sticker collection. Check out the table below to see which accessories work with which stencil types.

Before You Start

Before you get started, we recommend sorting through your stencil collection and counting up how many of each stencil type you have. If you need help identifying your stencils, this page will help.

An A5 binder typically holds 20 A5 sized stencils and their cheat sheets, or 10 double or single sleeves. Calculate roughly how many binders, sleeves, or wallets you will need using the table above.

If in doubt, start with just a few – You can always get more as your collection grows!

We recommend also using the Stencil Organisation Stickers if you have more than 20 stencils to organise, and dividers if you only have a small collection of less than 20.

We’ve put together two different guides depending on how many stencils you have. Click the buttons below to jump to the right place.

I Have More Than 20 Stencils!

If you have a larger collection, we recommend using the Stencil Organisation Stickers and multiple binders to organise your stencils.

Each sheet of Stencil Organisation Stickers contains labels for each stencil type, plus numbers 1-40, and two daisy icons, in one of five different colours. These will enable you to colour code your stencils! You will also receive an index sheet to help you catalogue your stencils within each binder.

So, choose one stencil type to organise (e.g. Classic, Super Easy, etc.) and one colour of Stencil Organisation Sticker, grab a binder and some sleeves (if needed), and let’s get started!

1. Fill in your index – Write the stencil type at the top of the index.
2. Add one of the colour-coded daisy stickers to the top of your index. (This will help you identify your stencils by the colour of the numbered stickers).
3. Add the corresponding label from your sticker sheet to the spine of your binder to indicate the type of stencil stored. You can also add the ‘Oops a Daisy’ logo stickers if you want!
4. Take a numbered sticker from the sheet and place it on your stencil or the sleeve.
5. Add the stencil name and SIC (Stencil Identification Code) against the corresponding number in your blank checklist. Alternatively use our pre-printed checklists and tick of the stencils in your collection. (You can find the names and SICs in our Stencil Directory here.)
6. Repeat for up to 40 stencils…
7. Voila! Your stencils are organised!
8. Repeat this process for each stencil type, using a separate binder and a different colour of sticker to create a colour-coded catalogue of your whole collection!

I Have Fewer Than 20 Stencils!

If you only have a few stencils and they will happily fit inside one binder, we recommend using dividers to organise them by type.

Sort your stencils into their different types, then label each divider with a permanent pen, label maker or our Stencil Organisation Stickers.

You can choose from top dividers, or side dividers, or combine them to create sub-categories!

What About My B5 Stencils?

If you have B5 stencils in your collection we have two alternative storage solutions for you, since these won’t fit inside the A5 binders.

The A4 Storage Book fits 20 stencils is available on its own, or with printed Super Easy Cheat Sheets to help you easily see which stencils are in which pocket.

Alternatively, our Stencil Organisation Rings are available as a set of 5, or with a single hole punch too.

Our Stencil Organisation Rings are a great way to keep multiple stencils together and can also be used with the Stencil Organisation Stickers.

Punch a hole in the corner of each stencil using the single hole punch, then number your stencils and write the names in the index or your journal, as described above.

The colour of the sticker on your stencil will match the colour of the label on your storage method!!

A Note About Cheat Sheets

The majority of our journal stencils now come with Cheat Sheets to give you hints and tips on how to get the best from the designs. These Cheat Sheets have been designed to be stored in your storage binders alongside your stencils, or on a ring in the case of Pocket Stencil Sets.

Cheat Sheets were introduced gradually throughout 2024, so if you have stencils without Cheat Sheets, you can purchase them separately here.
